As a Counselor

I  have been working as a counselor at CTC since having received my addiction studies degree in 2018 and prior as a student practicum.   Currently, I am proud to hold the position as clinical supervisor, having modeled my abilities to lead and to guide my fellow associates in the helping field.  I enjoy assisting others who have walked a similar path as I have in helping them navigate their purpose  in an encouraging environment focusing on experiential gain and continuous learning.

I have found that a great deal of true education takes place through life experience.  Through my encounters both personal and professional  in this field, I have developed a deeper desire and increased awareness of my abilities to see others and to provide an atmosphere  of welcomed honesty and recovery for all that I share space with. A great deal of effort is necessary to overcome negative patterns and learn how to love our challenges so that we may see our lessons and grow into the individuals we are meant to be. It is my honor to assist those in their own recognitions. I believe that often times substance use/abuse/dependence is a secondary challenge or has become a response mechanism to a deeper rooted disconnect.  Once we can seek out this disconnection and spend our attention there, we can grow our lives positively in all other areas, including our negative relationship with substance use.

I believe recovery is a process of reconnecting with our authentic selves, which in turn attracts authenticity from others, and allows us to manifest the reality we want for our future.

As a Human Being

I’ve had quite the journey thus far and I’m extremely grateful for all of the experiences that have led me to become a substance abuse counselor. I have spent my life until four years ago, working and playing in the music industry as a DJ, music producer, event coordinator, and electronic music technology specialist. As a troubled teen, it was within Seattle’s underground rave community that I pushed the limits of my substance use and learned what it is to be human with struggles that I later learned to address.

Currently, I continue to enjoy creating a healing atmosphere through music as a DJ, producer, and community event coordinator.  I am still deeply rooted in the Seattle music culture and love to share my music with the public and with my two children, who often create with me.

I am extremely passionate about helping people transmute their struggles from active addiction and trauma to a positive, action-based and life affirming awareness to discover their true self.
